僕自身はぜんぜん音楽に詳しくないが、藤嶋さんの楽しいエッセイやゲイゲイしいアーティストのゴシップをつまみ読みするのが、単純におもしろい。
このサイトで藤崎さんがリンク集の筆頭に上げているのがQueer Music Heritage。
クィア・ミュージック情報・音源の巨大データベースで、素人の僕にはほとんど理解できないものの、すごくおもしろい。
「Gay Marriage Songs」なんてページもあるし、あっちこっちのページを開けては斜め読みしたり聴いたりし始めると、止まらなくなる。
このサイトに、マシュー・シェパードに捧げられた楽曲を集めたページがある。

今までこれに思いいたらなかったが、たしかにそうだ。
1998年、ホモフォビアのヘイト・クライムで彼が恐ろしい殺されかたをしたとき、性的指向を問わない大勢のアーティストが、彼の死を悼む曲を書いたはずである。
彼の死は、いわばすべての人間の恥のようなものだった。
Like many, I was deeply moved by the tragedy of the death of Matthew Shepard, and as music is so important to me, it was natural for me to start collecting songs inspired by Matthew's death. This section of my site is designed to share them with you.
